WE CANNOT JUST BE CATCHING RHEMA UPANDAN!

I will like to establish first, that there is no new revelation! There is nothing new in biblical theory except that which is false.

2 Peter 1:20 (KJV) : Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

2 Peter 1:21 (KJV): "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

The message of grace or new creation realities or the finished work or what have you, is not new. A truth will always be a truth and a lie will remain a lie. We do not interpret the scriptures to prove a point! I always like to say that revelation is not progressive.

For an instance; You cannot be catching rhema up an down! The last verse of the scriptures below does not mean the lifting up of Jesus in WORSHIP will please God or rather win souls to God.

John 12:30 (KJV): "Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes".

John 12:31 (KJV): "Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out".

John 12:32 (KJV): And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

Most ‘Rhemas’ people catch are as a result of misinterpretation of the scriptures. And this does not mean that His death has made everybody saved  like the *universalists* claim but that salvation is made available!!

What Jesus was explaining here is simply how His death will bring salvation to All.

Can a believer sin willfully? Or can a man sin willfully?

Hebrews 10:26 (KJV): For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.

Hebrews 10:27 (KJV): But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

A sin is a sin whether in the New Testament or Old Testament. What the writer of Hebrews was explaining is, salvation is a free gift and rejecting of salvation is when A MAN SINS WILLFULLY.

I said earlier we cannot take a scripture out of context and give it a private interpretation. But what salvation brings is a total forgiveness of Sin. In this context, what makes a man a sinner is by rejecting forgiveness provided by Christ!!

John16:8-11 (KJV):When He comes, He will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment:

9. about sin,(A) because people do not believe in me;

10. about righteousness,(B) because I am going to the Father, (C) where you can see me no longer;

11. and about judgment, because the prince of this world (D) now stands condemned.

There is another scripture that seem controversial to eternal salvation. This scripture actual talks about the state of a man who reject the gospel. It has nothing to do with his character.

Let’s examine it.

Matthew 7:21 (KJV): Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 7:22 (KJV): Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Matthew 7:23(KJV): And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

One may be tempted to think Jesus was referring to the church.... if you read from verse 1 .... Jesus was addressing the teachers of the law, the scribes and the Pharisees ..... "I never know you’"..... this means they were never born again, they never believed the gospel..... they were never christians.

John 6:35 (KJV): And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

John 6:36 (KJV): But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.

John 6:37 (KJV): All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

Jesus does not drive away, reject, or deny those who come to Him!

Let’s explore more scriptures.

Another scripture that has been misinterpreted is this:

1 Corinthians 9:26 (KJV): I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:

1 Corinthians 9:27 (KJV): But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

This is usually used in a race.

1 Corinthians 9:25 (KJV): And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

1 Corinthians 9:26 (KJV): I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air.

1 Corinthians 9:27 (KJV): But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

The word cast away means to be disqualified.

You will see Paul was talking about the crown of Glory.

The reward you will get for your love walk!

Looking at 1 Corinthians 9 from verse 25, he was admonishing that we should be careful not to miss out of the reward. THE REWARD here is not eternal life. Eternal life is what qualified us for this reward!! Few weeks ago, I shared with some of my friends how our motives for service, our love walk, needs to be void of selfishness.

Is heaven really a geographical location?

Ephesians 1:3 (KJV): Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Let’s explore some scriptures.

They have sold an idea to us that Heaven is like a location you need visa to get to.

Now let’s read....

Ephesians 1:3 (KJV): Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

"places" is italicised, it is actually not in the original text.

Ephesians 2:5 (KJV): Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Ephesians 2:6 (KJV): And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly in Christ Jesus:

This means we are together with him in Heaven ALREADY. This gives a glimpse that Heaven is in Christ. We already citizens of Heaven.

Philippians 3:20 (KjV): For our citizenship is in the heavens, whence also a Saviour we await -- the Lord Jesus Christ -

What will happen on the last day is for us to put off this terrestrial body and then the Glory of God (our recreated human spirit) will be manifested....

Hebrews 12:22 (KJV): But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

Hebrews 12:23 (KJV): To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

Hebrews 12:24 (KJV): And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

1 Corinthians 15:39 (KJV): All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

1 Corinthians 15:40 (KJV): There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

1 Corinthians 15:42 (KJV): So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
